:l

Lately i've discovered the joys of name-calling, especially in mandarin. I've labelled some of the colleagues closer to me after pig body parts. (猪头, 猪屁股, 猪脚毛 etc etc). It all started as a self-induced exercise to improve my mandarin, but it just got so addictive that i went on inventing new names until......

Last friday, which is offically the most embarrassing day of my life.

A bunch of us were waiting for the lift when i realised that i had forgotten my wallet.

Me: Hey wait k, i forgot my 包皮. *runs off to retrieve wallet*

As i ran off i heard a roar of laughter coming from the lift lobby.

Me: *panting slightly* okay, back. What did i miss?

Colleague *smiling from ear to ear* : So Sandra, where's yr 包皮?

Me: *shows wallet* Nor, here lor. Why?

Another Roar of laughter.

Colleague: you know how you're always calling us piggy names? so can we call you 猪包皮?

Me: hmm......... what's that? pig wallet? not bad la, sound like popiah ......pork popiah!

Some of my colleagues were laughing so hard they could barely stand straight. And so, this went on for the whole day, till someone was kind enough to throw me a dictionary.

包皮 = foreskin.

Just let me die pls.

Something to say? =)
