Updates Updates!

So I've decided to neuter Georgie really soon. Just have to pick up the phone and make an appointment with the vet. It kind of pains me that he'll never get to be a father, but whatcha gonna do. I only want him to breed with pure Siberian huskies, and no one would allow their pure huskies to get it on with Georgie :(. Being an ignorant pet owner, I've got this silly unfounded fear. Heard stories that dogs become sissy after you neuter them and.....

I don't want him to become dong1 fang1 bu2 bai4!! *sobs*

I've been taking long breaks from blogging recently, believe it's been 2 weeks since my last entry. It's just so weird, almost everyday I come across stuff that I would like to blog about, but I can never remember them when I'm sitting in front of the computer. So I'm just gonna yak whatever comes to mind.

It's depressing to board a bus heading home and then hear on the radio that there will be a jam along Bukit Timah road.

Price is often used to measure worth, agree? Thus if an object is priceless, it may not necessarily mean that it is too expensive to be priced, it might just mean the opposite. (priceless may be = worthless too?) Spent 20 mins during lunch arguing with a colleague. Time well wasted :P

Abalone tastes like fishcake.
Shark's fins look like jelly.
Birds' nest = bird spit.

I hate them all, cos they make me LS :(

Received this mail some days ago:

FROGS

Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs.... who arranged a running competition.

The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower.

A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants....

The race began....

Honestly:

No one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.

You heard statements such as:

"Oh, WAY too difficult!!"

"They will NEVER make it to the top."

or:

"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one....

Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher....

The crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!"

More tiny frogs got tired and gave up....

But ONE continued higher and higher and higher....

This one wouldn't give up!

At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top!

THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it

A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal?

It turned out....

That the winner was DEAF!!!!

The wisdom of this story is:

Never listen to other people's tendencies to be

negative or pessimistic.... because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you -- the ones you have in your heart!

Always think of the power words have.

Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions!

Therefore:

ALWAYS be....

POSITIVE!

And above all:

Be DEAF when people tell YOU that you cannot fulfill your dreams!

Always think:

God and I can do this!

Pass this message on to 5 "tiny frogs" you care about.

Give them some motivation!!!

Pardon me, but I really do not get the point of this story. Does this mean that the frog would give up too if he wasn't deaf? Wouldn't it be more remarkable if he could hear the jeers but still persisted on? There's a fine line between being oblivious and being hearing impaired. If you can hear it, it registers in your mind, obviously, but choosing to ignore it is considered courageous (at least to me, I fall prey to nasty comments all the time.) But being actually deaf doesn't make you more courageous than the next person. Kind of a weird story, isn't it? That didn't really inspire me; in fact, it wasted about 5 mins of my life - 2 mins reading it, 3 mins blogging about it. But I do feel better now I've wasted some of your time too :P

This feels good. I ought to blog more often. :D

P.S: Pls leave a comment/contact details if you're a purebred female Siberian husky. Georgie wants to hump you.

Something to say? =)
