Montag, April 04, 2005 When i was 9 i walked home from school one day, having forgotten my farecard and pocket money. It was probably a 4km trek. I had read earlier on that one could never look directly at the afternoon sun, and wanted to prove them wrong. So for the whole journey, I squinted defiantly at the glaring afternoon sun as i trotted along the pavement. Miraculously, I never fell. It was probably extremely awkward (not to mention dangerous) to elevate my head at a 45degrees angle while walking, but I barely noticed.Upon reaching home my eyes hurt, and i had to keep them closed for the rest of the day. Now, 11 years later, I would like to do that again. It won't matter that i'm wrong. Or that i might fall. I would like to hold my head up high again and walk without a care in the world. Something to say? =) | | Permalink
