Okay here it is. My first blog. First things first, a few names i must mention : jacinth and my sis, thanks for helping. Seriously i'm not the online-journal kind of gal. I prefer writing in a diary, but well, a gal's got to keep up with the technology stuff, and to the ppl who have been pushing me to create this blog. here it is. tata.I sat for an operations management common test today, but my thoughts were far far away from the exam hall. kept imagining how it wld be like to be out in the sea, wakeboarding, surfing, and doing other i've-been-dying-to-try-stuff that i have not tried yet, kept thinking how it wld feel like to have the sun shining on my face and the clear sea water splashing against my skin. So disappointed when i jerked out of my trance and saw my old bogey lecturer asking me to sign attendance. As i walked out of the exam hall, i was thinking, great, common tests are not even over yet, and i'm already in a holiday mood.
Makes you wonder, doesn't it? the Singapore way of life, its like clockwork, a production line. From the moment we're born, we have obligations tied to our tiny feet. Kindergarden,Pri sch, PSLE,Sec sch,"O"s,JC(for some), poly(for the rest) and u work and u get married and u have kids. It feels safe, going down this steady route of life, but i can't help but imagine how life would be like if we were free to do the things we like. perhaps take a year off from school to travel around, understand the world not from the textbooks, but with our eyes and ears and touch. *Wonderful*
Out of all my friends, only one has broken out of her 'little singaporean box'. She is earning her keep, as a painter. Isn't that cool? Well i can't paint to save my life, but who knows, i may have other hidden talents, but they're buried deep deep underneath my textbooks and exams.
Just a thought i had there. =]
