Hung out with Dee and Pam today. Ha and we sang the accapella version of "looking through your eyes" YET AGAIN. Yup that was our favorite accapella song (besides "in the still of the night" of coz) in sec sch days. Somehow felt that something, or rather someone was missing.Feels very much like von is slipping away from the 3 of us. There were alot of missed-but-not-returned calls, and some msgs with no replies. And I snapped today. So I snapped at her. Perhaps it wasn't exactly the right/nice thing to do, but I felt like I had to say something. Missed her terribly all this while, but somehow or another, didn't get to talk heart-to-heart with her anymore. Alot of stuff to say, and we both live in SG for gdness sake, yet we do not have the chance to even have a casual face to face conversation. Missed the times where we were the closest to each other, I would tell her every little thing that's going on in my life, and call her every 15 mins. Missed the times when we would eat Maggie mee till we feel like we wana puke, and missed the times we would jus hang out and generally do nothing. A friend told me that I would have to learn to let go, but I always figured that the term "let go" is used for relationships, not friendships. Always thought we would stay that way forever. I guess she still treats me as a friend, but I'm no longer the closest one to her anymore. Reasons, too many to list.
k enough of depressing thoughts. Today was an emotional rollercoaster for me. Too tired to type everything, but I've written this poem in the cab on the way home. I written it in like 10 mins, mind you, so no criticism pls =P. Here goes, my first poem in years, to a special someone.
If You Only Knew
If you only knew
how much more you could be
how much love you could give.
If you only knew
How strong you are to me
And yet so weak to be.
If you only knew
You're all you need
And perhaps a little me.
What lies ahead is the world
It's yours.
